You may open a (joint) account with East West Direkt, if you meet the following prerequisites:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are a private individual, not a company
  • You have your permanent and fiscal residence in Germany or Luxembourg
  • You have an account with a bank in Germany or Luxembourg
  • You have a valid email address
  • You own a mobile phone with a German or Luxembourg number
  • You do not have US citizenship (including dual citizenship), are not a holder of a green card and are not subject to US taxation laws
  • You are not subject to Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)
  • You act for your own account only
